The starting point for the interior paintings was from a visit to an abandoned library. The paintings intensify the small amounts of light entering the building and the overpowering shadows.
My work is an exploration of light and luminosity within a particular time or space through mixed media. I start with a blank canvas with the belief that the possibilities of creation are endless. When creating my work I release ideas, perceptions and feelings onto the canvas. I hope to use my work to share and communicate experiences. I also want to introduce people to an aesthetic quality of everyday experiences that we often take for granted and overlook.
